Tyler and I met in the Fall of 2017, on the first day of our shared anatomy class. I knew from that first day that there was something so special about Tyler and knew that he was the one for me! So, naturally and very cheesily of me, I asked him about fake homework that I knew we didn't have just to talk to him. We started dating that September and the rest is pretty much history! Just two 16 and 17 year old kids who didn't know much, but knew that the love they had was strong and that the story they were writing was special!
In high school, I quickly became one of Tyler's biggest fans and loved cheering him on under those Friday night lights. After those last two years as a Husky, Tyler decided to pursue his goal of playing collegiate football and chose to do so at the University of North Alabama! Roar Lions!! We've done 5 years of two hour weekend road trips, maaannnyyy facetime calls, lots of game days - from Florence all the way to Tallahassee to play against Florida State - and I wouldn't trade one minute of it for the world! My favorite title (second to fiance of course) has been being Tyler's biggest fan, both on and off the field!
If you know Tyler and I, then you know how special the city of Florence is to us! It has given us friendships that will last a lifetime and memories and stories that we will cherish forever! Driving over O'Neal Bridge into Florence meant that I was about to be reunited with my favorite person in a matter of minutes. So, after 6 and a half years, standing in McFarland Park with O'Neal Bridge behind us, Tyler asked me the question I've been waiting to answer since the first day I met him. I said yes to marrying and spending the rest of my life with my best friend in the little North Alabama town that means to much to us!
Out of all the seasons of life Tyler and I have walked through together, this engagement season has been the sweetest and has made me so excited for the season of marriage that is ahead! Tyler is my favorite person in the world and my very best friend. He makes each day brighter than the day before. His laughter is contagious and his confidence and determination are two of his most admirable qualities. I am so lucky that that God chose me to be his wife but more importantly, that he will be my husband! I cannot wait to marry you, T, and I'm looking forward to continuing to write our special story together! I love you more than you know, forever and ever!
Love your future wife,
G
