Our journey together began when we were kids at church. From the very beginning, we got along really well and later became best friends. As time went on, our friendship grew stronger and deeper, until one day we decided to take it to the next level and start dating.

The proposal was a night we will never forget. Natalie thought we were going on a double date to the Brazilian steakhouse where we celebrated our one-year anniversary. It was right before Grady and his best man Bryson were graduating college, and the plan was to take some graduation pictures across the street. While getting ready, Natalie had a fleeting thought that "it would be crazy if he proposed tonight," but quickly dismissed it when she didn't see a ring box in his pockets.

All dressed up, we arrived and headed over to take pictures. After a few test shots to get the settings right, the moment was perfect. While Natalie was distracted, Grady hid the ring box in some bushes nearby. After taking a few regular couple pictures, Grady reached into the bushes, pulled out the ring box, and completely shocked Natalie. Tears of joy filled her eyes as Grady got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course, Natalie said YES!

We spent the rest of the evening calling everyone we knew to share the exciting news, before heading next door to actually go on that decoy double date.
