Where should we stay?
The closest hotel to the venue is Sandman Signature South. We have blocked off rooms at a discounted rate if you wish to stay here. Everything in Saskatoon is within 20 minutes so whatever hotel you choose to stay at won't be overly far from the venue.


Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be taking place at The Backyard venue in Saskatoon. The ceremony will be outside, please use the gate. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place inside, please use the front door.


What is the order of events?
Ceremony: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Cocktail Hour: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Dinner: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Dancing: 8:30pm - Late


What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will start at 1:30pm, please give yourself 15 minutes to park and find your seat.


What is the dress code?
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is formal attire. Ladies should wear mid-length or full length dresses (please avoid black dresses so our bridal party stands out). Men should wear a suit (with or without a tie/sports coat). Please dress to impress!
*Men: if it's not raining the wedding ceremony will be outdoors - if it's a hot day please don't feel like you need to wear a suit jacket. The reception will be indoors (in air conditioning) so suit jacket encouraged for the dinner :)


Can I take photos during the ceremony and reception?
We kindly ask that you do not have your phones or cameras out during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be capturing the ceremony, and we don't want any phones in our photos! At the reception we will have a QR code on every table for everyone to upload their photos throughout the night, we can't wait to see them!


What should I do in the free time between the ceremony and cocktail hour?
We will be taking family photos at the venue then going off site for photos with the bridal party. We ask that you leave the venue immediately following the ceremony and come back for cocktail hour as the inside will not be open due to setting up for the reception. See things to do section for our restaurant/bar recommendations. Chop Steakhouse would be the closest to the venue.


Can I bring a guest/date?
If you received a plus one, your guest's name will be listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please let us know if anything changes prior to the wedding.


Are kids welcome?
Although we love your little ones, we have decided to keep the wedding and reception an adults-only event. This pertains to children of all ages including infants, toddlers, kids, and teens. We hope you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us! We will be hiring babysitters that will be available at Graeme's parents house to help make coming to our wedding a little easier!


What's the bar situation?
We will be having a cash bar using drink tickets. There will be a table to buy drink tickets, the bar will not take cash, tickets only. Please bring cash to buy tickets and please tip our amazing bartenders!
