She once shared "I'm glad my sister is my sister because I would never be her friend." The universe did their parents a favor spacing her and Kateri 14 years apart, they probably wouldn't have survived otherwise.

Saying we wouldn't all be gathering for this wedding if it weren't for Liah is an understatement. She encouraged the 2019 move to Detroit, and was Graham's biggest fan from day one when we met a few months after my move. Thanks Liah!

Founded in 1885, the Detroit Institute of Arts holds an expansive collection with 65,000 pieces. The DIA is one of the gems of Detroit. A Georgia O'Keeffe traveling exhibit will be on display in November!

Recently reopened after a historic reservation, Michigan Central is open again! It is free to visit or a tour can be booked ahead of time for a fee. There are also retail shops inside. Paid parking is located at the Bagley Mobility Hub.

The Henry Ford is located outside of Detroit in Dearborn, about 20 minutes from Detroit. It's a favorite to visit and Kateri and Graham recommend getting lunch at Ford's Garage nearby!

Owned by Detroit native, Eminem and inspired by his famous lyric from "Lose Your Self".

Mom's Spaghetti

One of Graham and Kateri's favorite restaurants! While the entire menu is delicious, they highly recommend the fried cauliflower, hummus and lamb burger! The Detroit location is open week days only.

Detroit style pizza! Another icon of Detroit, Buddy's is known as the original Detroit style pizza. Kateri recommends the antipasto salad to go with your pizza!

Humane Society of Macomb 

In spring of 2021, Graham adopted Keto from the Humane Society of Macomb. The staff and Kateri knew Keto was the one when they sent a full bag of food home for her "2 week trial." She's kept our house full of love and laughter ever since. World Endometriosis Society 

Kateri was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2022, after years of symptoms. Since they met, Graham has been one of her biggest supporters learning everything he can, and finding ways to help her.
