Picture of Our Story

On December 20th, 2022, Elizabeth Ann found herself in a lively conversation with her sorority little, Callie Carter, and Callie's mother, Christy Carter. They were reminiscing about Elizabeth Ann's summer spent in Texas as a chef and counselor at Pine Cove Christian Camp when Christy began to share tales of a fine young man named Grant Glisson, who had also spent a summer there as a counselor. With each story, Elizabeth Ann was captivated by how wonderful Grant was and how he came from such a remarkable family.

That night, Elizabeth Ann jokingly remarked, "Well, I would just love to date a guy like him!" Little did she know, Callie was already hatching a plan. With a mischievous glint in her eye, Callie decided to send a picture of herself and Elizabeth Ann to Grant, along with a message that read, "Hey! This is my sorority big, Elizabeth Ann. She went to Pine Cove like you, and I think you two have a lot in common!"

From that moment on, Grant was all Elizabeth Ann could think about. Their story was just beginning, filled with excitement, laughter, and the promise of something truly special. And as fate would have it, the connection they were about to forge would turn into a beautiful love story that neither of them could have ever anticipated.

"From our very first conversation, I knew that Grant was different than anyone I have ever met. He is a true gentleman, a strong protector, and a good listener. He’s also the funniest person I’ve ever met, kind to everyone he encounters, and above all, he loves the Lord more than anyone or anything else. Grant has truly changed my world and allowed me to know love in ways I could only dream of, Grant is my home."

"The first date did not go quite as expected. We were supposed to get coffee. When we saw that it was closed we went to another restaurant to try and get some lunch, only to see that it was closed too. And then another and then another. We finally got a table at Amor Taco (which no longer exists). During that time spent in the car, I found myself talking to this girl as if I had known her for years. We were laughing, joking, and having the best time. She was just different. Meeting Elizabeth Ann, apart from being saved by Jesus Christ, is the best thing to ever happen to me. She is caring, kind, so funny, and she's a GREAT cook! She is loyal and honest and she keeps me accountable. I can not wait to have her by my side for the rest of my life. I thank God for her."
