Our story together begins at the University of Mary in the Spring of '22. Gemma had just returned from a semester abroad and Grant was a new transfer student. We began to see each other frequently after Mass, in study areas, and at causal hockey games with friends. As we developed our friendship, we both started to discern whether we were called to enter into a relationship. Our first date was March 26th and we met each other's families later that Spring. Gemma spent her summers in Michigan and Grant spent his in North Dakota. We would write letters to each other and call regularly for prayer and conversation. As our relationship grew, we continued to discover shared interests such as hiking, playing music, cooking, skating, board games, etc. On September 30th '23, we were engaged at Teddy Roosevelt National Park, where Gemma and her family used to spend many weekends. We are so grateful to God for his continuous blessings on us as we prepare with prayerful excitement for our wedding day!
