I am honored to have known and walked with Jackie the longest of all the bridal party! Jackie and I’s friendship began at Benedictine College when we lived on the same floor as Freshmen. We quickly bonded after our first meeting, which involved her unexpected entrance into my dorm room with my roommate while I was comfortably sitting on the floor eating from a huge tub of ice cream. We became close to inseparable and could be found “studying” together (aka reading from each other’s Theology and English books that we just had to share), sporadically going on Walmart trips (sometimes involving hair dye), and sharing our love for ministry by serving teens. Even if there are few opportunities to be together or talk late into the night, we manage to find moments to catch up, and it has been a blessing to grow deeper in friendship in our adult lives. Here’s to our amazing future Mrs. McGurn!
Patty Cox - Maid Of Honor
When I first met Jackie, I was immediately struck by her joy, spunkiness, fun loving attitude, and sassiness. Over the years I have been moved and struck deeply by her courage, gentleness, compassion, and strength. Whether it has been roadtripping to Colorado, being each others plus ones for weddings, visiting flower fields and coffee shops, thrift shopping, there has been so much laughter and tears along the way. I am so deeply grateful to be the sister and friend of this incredible woman and I am so excited to watch her marry the one and only Grant McGurn!

Jacqueline and I met this past fall working together with campus ministry at UW-Platteville. She has become such a dear friend to me in a short amount of time. She opened her life and story to me, and I quickly saw the ways that my heart could unfold around her. She is so receptive and generous to me and the people around her. Through all the weekly adventures, tears, and laughter, and joy, we have grown so close. I am so thankful that the Lord blessed me with Jacqueline. He knew I needed a big sister and friend who would love me with such a great and tender love. I cannot wait to see how she loves Grant with her tender and compassionate heart. I am s honored to be alongside her as she marries Grant!

Jackie and I met in college, while we were both students at Benedictine! During her senior year and my sophomore year, we both got to serve with Benedictine’s campus ministry. Jackie was the group leader for our ministry small group that year, and the two of us became fast friends. We started a tradition of getting dinner together once a week every Monday: we shared many caf meals and even more holy conversations. Our friendship has only continued to deepen since then. I have been so grateful to find in Jackie a friend who deeply loves Jesus, who’s love is incredibly loyal, and who’s boldness and honesty always call me to be more fully who I truly am.

Jaqueline and I met in the spring of 2023. I decided to become Catholic and joined RCIA at St. Augustine. Something that I did not know was that I would need Godparents. After making it known that I did not have anyone to fill this role, Jacquline and I were able to meet for the first time. We met over coffee and talked for hours. Right away I could tell I’d be blessed to have her as a friend. Now, I am honored to have Jacquline as my forever friend and Godmother.

When I first met Jacqueline, I immediately wanted to be her friend. As so many of her friends can attest to, her joy is radiant, attractive, and contagious. We became friends over 4 years ago while serving our first year as missionaries at UW-Platteville. Whether we were snagging some sunflowers from the campus Gazebo, going thrifting anywhere and everywhere from Madison to Dubuque, or staying up way too late talking about the origin and history of angels, we have had so many memories over the years. Despite living hundreds of miles apart, Jacqueline will always be one of my closest friends. Jacqueline’s authenticity and rawness is what makes her such a good friend, and I love that we can go from a lighthearted conversation to deep spiritual one in the same breath. I simply CANNOT wait to stand with her as she embarks on the vocation of marriage with Grant. What a gift!!

I met Jacqueline my freshman year of college at UW-Platteville where she was a missionary. Right away our friendship started to grow into something so beautiful and I’m so grateful to God for that! She took me under her wing and through her venerability and openness she helped me to find more freedom in my life that I would have never found without her. She has brought me closer to God and helped me to grow in my faith so much over my few years that I’ve known her. Jacqueline is so much more than just a missionary to me, she is one of my best friends!
MaKenna Ketter - Braidesmaid
I first met Jackie in the summer of 2018, while we were both serving as summer missionaries at Benedictine College. While it didn’t seem like we had much in common at first, Jackie’s and my friendship slowly blossomed into one ordained by the Holy Spirit. Her nurturing and gentle presence taught me to hear the voice of God in the Spirit like I hadn’t known before. Jackie knows my heart so well and I am absolutely honored to know her’s. I’m so grateful for our friendship and cannot wait to stand alongside her as she married the second love of her life—Jesus first, of course ;)

"I am so excited and honored to be helping Jacqueline and Grant celebrate the beginning of their lives together! Jacqueline and I met when we were both working as Campus Ministers at UW-Platteville. From the very start, she proved to be such an extraordinary blessing and a joy to our entire family. She would frequently stop by to chat over coffee or tea, to play with our kids, or to support me as I learned to balance ministry life with our new and growing family. I'll always be grateful for all of our coffee/tea conversations, for her always making the time to come see us after we left Platteville, and for all the countless times she has kept the kids occupied for me while I've rushed around frantically trying to get tasks done. It has been such a joy to see Jacqueline share her authentic self as a missionary on campus, and even more so to know her as a beautiful, joyful, authentic friend!"
Jonathon Seaman - Best Man
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Grant for over 20 years now. It all started near the beach in a little elementary school by the name of Freedom 7. Our long trek together took us through middle, high school, and even landed us as roommates in college. We’ve stacked a lot of memories together in that time, whether it was playing in a rock band, dancing to Thriller on stage, or competing in massive self made tournaments to see who was truly the Mario Kart champion. We’ve been through the good, the bad, and the absolutely absurd together, but it has only proven the strength of our fast friendship. I’m am honored to take part in Jackie and Grant’s big day, and it swells my heart with joy to see them take the big plunge together as one happy unit. Grant was the best man at my wedding, so it brings me absolute pleasure to finally return the favor. Cheers to you both, and I will see you all soon!

Grant is my brother and I have known him all my life. I will always remember all the great memories we have had, even the ones as simple as drinking coffee together. I wish my brother and Jackie much success and happiness in their future.

I met Grant through my friend Jose over beer and wings back in 2020. We have always got along great and have become very reliable friends. We share a similar sense of humor that tends to get pretty animated and lively, and maybe even ridiculous if not put in check.

I don't remember the first time I met Grant, but it feels like I've known him all my life. As his favorite roommate, I can honestly and sincerely give him the highest of ratings: 98% on rotten tomatoes, 9.5 on IMDB, 9 out of 10 dentists would vouch for him, and Metacritic would definitely give him a 97%.

I first met Grant in March of 2020. I was very fortunate to start a new job at the Cathedral parish and even more fortunate to have Grant McGurn as my supervisor. After a few weeks, or maybe just days, of working together I invited him to hang out with my circle of friends. From that moment on, we’ve forged a strong friendship and created countless cherished memories. Grant’s vibrant personality and infectious enthusiasm are truly remarkable, and I sincerely hope he shares that same spirited charm with his wife.

Since I first met Grant at St. Paul’s Center in Madison I knew he was a cool, holy dude. I remember asking him about his story and perspective as a convert to the Catholic faith. Since then we have done retreats, pilgrimmages, and many great outdoor trips. A highlight for me was the walks and dinners we’d do with my roommates during quarantine. Even more appreciatively, he has been a friend there for me ever since, and I am very happy for him to find such a beautiful, faith driven woman in Jackie. Prayers for the both of them, always.
