Our Wedding

Grayson and I have known each other for 20 years now (yes, we first met when we were 6 years old). We are both from Raleigh, and grew up going to the same youth group together at church. Little did he know back then, but 6 year old me had the biggest crush on him. We both ended up at the same college, UNC, (go heels!) and remained close friends in college. If you ask me, I would say we went back and forth for a while about whether we wanted to be more than friends. If you ask Grayson, he will say he always knew I was the one and he was just waiting on me. We started dating September of 2019 (my senior year at UNC). We both applied to graduate schools (law school and for speech-language pathology) and somehow both got into UT! We moved to Knoxville in the middle of COVID (Aug 2020) having never been to Knoxville before. Thank GOODNESS we fell in love with Knoxville. We would spend the next 3 years grinding in school, moving in together in the midst of all that, and cheering on the Vols in our limited spare time. We both graduated from our respective programs in May of 2023. Grayson spent the whole summer studying for the Bar (and little did I know but while designing my ring!) and then popped the question August 4th, 2023 exactly 1 month before our 4 year anniversary. Little 6 year old me is screaming, crying tears of joy, and jumping up and down knowing that I get to marry Grayson.&nbsp;

What time should I arrive for the ceremony? 

The ceremony will start promptly at 4PM EST. We ask that you please arrive 20 minutes before!

What is the dress code?

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is Black-Tie Optional. Suits and midi/maxi dresses are preferred.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

While there is a massive parking lot, we highly encourage our guests to participate in a rideshare option (Uber and Lyft are available). If there is a designated driver, you are more than welcome to drive your car to the wedding. NO cars may stay overnight at the venue. There will be a shuttle provided for those of you who stay at the Holiday Inn in Cedar Bluff.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both! (weather permitting). Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and our reception will be indoors.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one? 

While we typically live by the saying "the more the merrier", we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your invitation. We hope you understand!

Will there be an open bar?

Is the sky blue? We will provide a full open bar with select spirits, beer, cocktails, and wine.

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony/reception?

In order to ensure we are all fully present we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We ask that all phones are silenced/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired an AMAZING photographer to capture this special moment and will be sure to share her pictures with all of you! During cocktail hour and the reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like!
