Things to Do

There's a whole host of places to walk, restaurants to try, and things to see in and around downtown Grand Rapids! Some of our favorite spots to eat are:

-Mithu Indian and Sri Lankan Cuisine: Not winning any awards for ambiance, but if you're willing to wait a bit their food is amazing. you'll want to try some potatoes and peas curry and/or their samosas

-Seoul Market: It's inside of a grocery store and has some real 7eleven vibes, but again, the food is super good. We love splitting their ttoekboki and bibimbap, but honestly anything on the menu is gonna be excellent

-Monsoon Vietnamese: a more upscale restaurant in downtown GR, good for some snacky appetizers or a full-blown meal. Must-trys are their lychee martini and pork tacos.

-Butcher's Union: It is not an exaggeration to say that Brian Bergeron has gone here at least once for dinner every single time he has visited Grand Rapids. It's a semi-fancy "American Food" restaurant with a seasonal menu.

-Hancock: A real tasty chicken spot. We usually split a half chicken with a couple of sides. Yum.

-Uncle Cheetah's Soup Shop: A very eclectic soup and sandwich shop in Eastown. Their soups change all the time, but the real winners are their grilled cheese sandwiches.

-Eastern Kille Distillery: Ok, this one only serves drinks. They have two locations, both of which are prime spots, and they have a fairly inexpensive and very unique drink list.

-KCM: A delicious Japanese hole-in-the-wall spot in Eastown with some amazing pork katsu curry. One important note is they have extremely limited indoor seating.

-Zivio: Some Bosnian/American hybrid food. Get their Can't-Stop-Won't-Stop Fries, and you will not regret it.

-Donkey Taqueria: If you're looking for a sneak preview of the food that will be at our wedding, this is your place. Try their Brusselas tacos.

-Ding Tea: They have pretty solid boba. Nuff said.
