Greta and Alex's story began when they were just fourteen years old. They were randomly paired to go to their first homecoming dance as freshmen and had only known of each other for a few months. From then on, the rest was history as Alex officially asked Greta to be his girlfriend on the 19th of December in 2015 and they went to every school dance thereafter (10 total). From Greta's sister, Kendra, driving them to their first date because they didn't have their license, to Greta cheering on Alex from the sidelines during football season, they have practically grown up together.

They left their small hometown of Libertyville, Illinois to go to different colleges. Greta went to Auburn University while Alex went to the University of Kentucky, putting a seven hour drive and a SEC rivalry between them. Although they had to do four years of long distance, some of their favorite memories include weekend visits and spending the holidays together.

To celebrate their graduation, Alex and Greta took a two week long trip to Europe. To Greta's complete surprise, Alex pulled off a dream engagement on June 10th 2023 while in Paris at the Palace of Versailles. Greta had no idea that this had been in the works for months and all of the people that were involved. It was truly the trip of a lifetime!

The next chapter of their story is starting as they just moved across the country into their first home together in Charleston, South Carolina. Alex is continuing school at the Medical University of South Carolina while Greta starts her working career. This year has already been full of so many celebrations and this is just the beginning!
