Cortney and Gretchen met as random roommates their freshmen year at Marquette. It was a slow burn but they then quickly became inseperable besties. I'm excited for Cortney to be my Matron of Honor, as I had the joy and privilege of being her Maid of Honor ten years ago.

Aly and Gretchen met in high school but really became best friends after winning first place at Yearbook Camp! They took their high school friendship to Marquette where they were roommates junior and senior year. Our countless inside jokes, international travels, and unbreakable loyalty make Aly one of my best friends, and I'm excited for her to be one of my bridesmaids.

Stacey and Gretchen met at Rush when Gretchen was randomly assigned to train Stacey as a new nurse. Within the first five minutes they knew this friendship would be life-long. Stacey is Gretchen's favorite person to go on a dinner-date with because she knows all the best spots in the city (and they sometimes let James tag along). I can't imagine getting married without Stacey by my side.

Gretchen and Amelia also met at Rush as nurses. Gretchen would not have survived Nurse Practitioner School without Amelia by her side. Amelia is my ride-or-die. I loved being able to stand up in her wedding, and I can't wait to have her by my side at mine.

Matt and John have known James for ~34 years. They've done more to shape who he is today than anyone (so feel free to blame both of them). In all seriousness, I've looked up to my brothers for as long as I can remember. Throughout my life they have been my mentors, coaches (sometimes literally), cheerleaders, and friends. I'm lucky to have such amazing brothers and co-best men.

There are some bonds that just can't be broken - and a late night session practicing the ND fight song (had to make sure those claps were in rhythm) forged James and John's. I'm lucky that a random housing lottery put our rooms next to each other, because our friendship has never wavered.

James and Nick's relationship has run the gamut - introduced as rivals (in a beer chug), progressing to teammates (in a Beer Olympics), and ending as friends (after post-Olympics couch crashing). In reality, I know I owe Nick for a lot of guidance and late-night vent sessions.

When choosing an officiant, James and Gretchen knew there was no better choice than their friend (and sometimes roomate, as the guest room in their condo is affectionatly known as "Dan's room") Dan. As the person who probably knows us both the best, we can't wait to see what he has in store for the ceremony!
