This is my Airbnb review for five-star hosts Melissa and Griffin.

I have been a repeat guest at this lovely couple's east county San Diego apartment and highly recommend for anyone planning to be in SD! If you have any pet allergies, no need to worry — they are (now) a pet-free household.

They ensure their guests have a cozy room and sparkling bathroom to themselves, going to the effort of clearing off the ample Pokemon and BTS plushes off the pull-out couch in the spare bedroom (which is actually from Melissa's childhood bedroom, so that's some fun family lore!) so it can be used as a surprisingly comfortable bed. For their most loyal guests, they sometimes put together a care package full of snacks and beauty goodies.

They have many recommendations for things to do across the county and are willing to take their guests hiking, biking, walking, brunching and board gaming. Or if you're in the mood to stay in, they have an extensive board game and video game collection and are both very adept at explaining how to play. My personal recommendation is playing Wingspan with the couple; in fact, some of my fondest times with them have been when we're playing this silly bird game. Pro tip: Do not mention the BTS Uno.

Make sure to ask Griffin to cook you bacon and toast you a bagel for breakfast sometime; you won't regret it. And their homemade popcorn is an absolute must-try, so make sure to suggest a movie night!

Question 3: The zombie apocalypse occurs during the wedding. What do you do?

Take off my heels, call dibs on Melissa and Griffin, take as many of their wedding gifts and as much dinner as we can carry and find the nearest shelter in Temecula to hide out. Then I'll check the news and social media obsessively while watching "Parks and Recreation" reruns together until a proven way to fight the zombies emerges.

The best gift of all is your presence at our wedding. However, if you feel like purchasing a gift, we would be most appreciative. We are planning a honeymoon in Greece after the wedding and plan on purchasing a home next year. Thank you in advance and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
