Trails

Hanging Rock State Park

Several trail options, including trails leading to waterfalls, great mountain views at the summit, and interesting rock formations.

Pilot Mountain State Park

Multiple trails that lead to summit, with great mountain views. Parking is also available at the summit and there are many options for rock climbing and bouldering.

Atlantic and Yadkin Greenway

This greenway connects downtown Greensboro to Summerfield. It is mostly paved with views of various Greensboro parks and lakes.

Lake Brandt Watershed Trails

A variety of trails that surround the Lake Brandt watershed. Our favorites include the Owl's Roost and Nat Greene trails.

Art

Weatherspoon Art Museum

Art museum located on UNCG's campus with rotating galleries. Free to public!

Greensboro Cultural Center

Community center located in downtown Greensboro with free public art galleries.

Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts

Greensboro's own performing arts center! The Tanger Center hosts touring Broadway shows, musicians, and comedians. Check ahead of time for scheduling!

Greensboro Science Center

Interactive science museum with a small aquarium and animal exhibits outdoors! The science center also includes a ropes course.

Scuppernong Books

Quirky local bookstore selling both used and new books. Also sells coffee and often hosts community events!
