Do you remember your first love? We do! We were each others.

We met at Sacred Heart School in New Britain. Yes, right next to the church we are getting married in. Though we met earlier, our first official memories of each other go back to 6th grade. As classmates, it was easy to get to know each other and become friends. At the end of 7th grade, Greg finally asked Maya out and we dated until sophomore year of high school!

Throughout the rest of high school and college, we were able to stay friends. It wasn't until the end of summer 2019 that we found our way back to each other and started dating again. We picked up right where we left off - best friends who this time, were eager to start a future together. Over the past few years, Greg graduated college, Maya bought a house, we moved in together, Greg got into and graduated the CT State Police Academy!!, we got not one, but two crazy dogs, got engaged, and cannot wait to see what the future holds.

We are fortunate enough to have jobs we both love and a wonderful support system surrounding us - friends and family who we can turn to for anything. Our free time is spent with the people we love, spending time outdoors, renovating our home (do the renovations ever end?), and spending time together whenever we get the chance. With two different schedules, it is not always easy to be in sync and find the time we would otherwise have. With each year, we grow into stronger supporters of each other, find more joy in the mundane things, and laugh like we are still in 7th grade.

We hold not only Sacred Heart - the place we met and first dated - but also New Britain, the Polish Community, and Connecticut in general close to our hearts. This is our home, where our friends and family are, and where we'll be staying for at least 25 years until Greg retires! Though we may look older, our middle school selves have remained a huge part of us. It is where we came from, our familiarity, and what we built our current life on. They say you never forget your first love. In our case, we really didn't.

We cannot wait to share our day with you. Everyone has impacted our life in some way, and we hope you are all able to join us while we take this next monumental step in our lives.
