Alan Watts once said, "It is only when you're in love with another person that you see them as they really are. And in the ordinary way, when you're not in love, you see only a fragmented version of that being. Because when you're in love with someone, you do indeed see them as a divine being. And suppose that's what they are, truly. And your eyes have, by your beloved, been opened. If you should be so fortunate as to encounter this spiritual experience, it seems to me to be a total denial of life to refuse it. "

Gurneet and Brandon first met in residency 5 years ago at a small hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. Their relationship initially started as a friendship, however, blossomed into a loving relationship throughout residency and beyond. They would say, they are definitely best friends trying to spread love and compassion to the world! They push each other every day to be the best versions of themselves. Undoubtedly, the love they share for each other is deep and long-lasting. The bond they share can never be broken. Brandon said during his proposal to Gurneet in November of 2023, "you have been by my side through the great times and not so great times. I know that if I ever fall, you would catch me. If I were drowning, you would jump in to save me without hesitation. I know you will always love me and always be by my side." Brandon and Gurneet can see each other as they truly are and accept each other as they are. That is the true love they share for each other.
