It was a beautiful warm summer day in North Carolina on September 4th of 2015 at East Carolina University(Go Pirates!), where Gwen and Jacob's story kicked off with a playful quirky twist when Gwen introduced herself to Jacob as Sarah. Fortunately, that didn't stop Jacob from igniting the spark with a lasting impression, memorable kiss, and words never to be forgotten, “I have to give you something to remember me by”.

Over the next three years, their time at East Carolina University was filled with unforgettable moments. They enjoyed events at Jacob's fraternity, created lasting memories with friends, and cherished their escapes to the beaches of Carolina, whenever possible.

Fast forward to 2018, Gwen landed a job in Fayetteville, kicking off a period of long-distance love. Eventually, she found her way back to Greenville, where they set up their first home together. Augie, their first dog, joined the crew, and not long after, Max rounded out their furry family.

Over the past six years, their weekends were filled with travels, doggy adventures, and creating memories in Greenville. Jake wrapped up his graduate degree, and in July 2023, they made the move to Garner, NC.

And then came a picture-perfect proposal at Carolina Beach on September 9th of 2023. It was at one of their favorite spots, capturing the essence of their journey – laid-back, full of love, and a touch of serendipity.

September, a month that's become a cozy corner in Gwen and Jacob's love story. It's where their journey began and the same month where Jacob proposed eight years later. Choosing September 2024 for their wedding, just feels right. A date that wraps everything up with a bow, connecting back to where it all started.
