Cape Kiwanda Sand Dunes

The brilliant sandstones of Cape Kiwanda are one of the Oregon Coast’s most dazzling features. Hike up the dunes to take in the magificent view of Pacific City Beach.

Cape Lookout State Park

Take the lush, old-growth Cape Trail to the end for breathtaking views and the best whale watching. The day-use area on the beach is perfect for a picnic or a leisurely walk.

Lighthouse at Cape Meares

Complete the Three Capes Loop (Kiwanda, Lookout, and Meares) with a visit to Cape Meares. Enjoy stunning vistas and short hikes, including a visit to the historic lighthouse.

Nestucca River Adventures

Get ready for some water fun! Rent kayaks or SUPs from the local kayak shop in Pacific City and explore the scenic Nestucca River.

Explore Bob Straub State Park

Hike through 484 acres of beautiful coastal scenery. Whether you're on foot or horseback, enjoy trails bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Nestucca River. Don’t miss the peaceful Nestucca Spit loop, a serene 6-7 mile hike perfect for nature lovers.

Dory Boat Fishing

Experience the unique thrill of Dory boat fishing, launching directly from the beach. A short trip near Haystack Rock will have you catching Rockfish, Lingcod, and Dungeness Crab (when in season).

Hike to a Quiet Beach at Sitka Sedge

Just past Tierra Del Mar, this beautiful state park offers trails that wind through estuaries and lead to a secluded beach. A perfect spot for a peaceful day out in nature.

Wildlife Watching at Whalen Island

This county park offers a short loop hike where you can spot diverse wildlife. There’s also a great swimming hole under the bridge to the island, ideal for a refreshing dip.

Discover A Ghost Town

Explore the history of Bayocean Spit, a resort town swallowed by the sea. This peninsula guarding Tillamook Bay offers a fascinating out-and-back hike with stunning views. It’s also a great spot for mountain biking.
