Only a few months after moving to Nashville, we met in the most romantic way possible - online dating. Jordan's Hinge profile caught my attention. I don't remember the prompt, but I'll never forget the answer. It said "Costco is the superior grocery store." I decided to message this man and talk about our shared love for Costco.

The next 6-8 months were a whirlwind of dating, working, home buying, home renovations, and a lot of getting to know each other. I decided to tell my parents about Jordan when things were getting serious. As expected, my parents said we had to get married immediately, at least religiously, for Jordan to be accepted into our family. Jordan, being the angel that he is, said "I'll do whatever needs to be done." A few weeks later, we flew to Virginia to have a religious wedding ceremony attended only by us, my parents, and a family friend/witness. That was on March 8, 2023. Now, it's true that we are already "husband" and "wife" in the Islamic faith, but until we sign a legal contract that binds us together for better or worse, we are going to enjoy our engagement and wedding planning.

Moving on.

By July 2023, I moved in with Jordan and Andy (thanks, Andy) so we could rent out my house and save up to buy our first home together. By October 2023, we were under contract on a new construction home that met our desires and dreams (aka, had space for a golf simulator), and on May 1, 2024, we moved in.

On May 2, 2024, I awoke to the sweetest surprise. At 7 am, after a cold shower, delightful morning breath, bra-less, and in a horrible mood, Jordan guided me upstairs to "show me something cool." It was indeed the coolest thing I had ever seen. In the room was the sweetest proposal and cameras staring at me, and there was a lot of shock and confusion because I didn't see Gina. Where was my Gina? Anyways, I said yes, then Jordan proposed, and I said yes again. Then pop go Gina and Jake from behind a chair, and there began one of the happiest days of my life.

We got married in Key West, Florida on March 8, 2025 and will have a reception to celebrate with our friends in May 2025 in Nashville.
