We suggest booking hotels/Airbnbs sooner than later, as many places are already getting booked up. We are happy to help with recommendations, so feel free to reach out! Flights should be booked anywhere between 2-6 months in advance. We recommend placing flight alerts and monitoring prices to decide which time is best to book.

You do NOT need a visa to visit Portugal!

Renting a car and driving in Portugal is very easy but not required -- you can pre-book a car rental through any of the major rental companies and pick up the car at the Lisbon airport. However, renting a car is not necessary if you prefer to Uber throughout your stay. There is also a strong taxi and train system. If you are staying in Sintra we strongly recommend you confirm with your hotel there is parking before driving there as parking can be limited.
