I have always said that God must be a poet. Our story is just one of the beautiful works in all of His creation.

Hailey and I welcome you to the place we call home and also known as the "Crystal Coast." It is a place of inspiration for author Nicholas Sparks, Delia Owens in "Where the Crawdads Sing," and shows like Netflix's "Outer Banks."

We are very fortunate to call it home due to our family ties.

Hailey's sister's family, Blair & Mason, had moved here in 2022 and planted their roots. They were followed by their parents, Scott & Teresa, who moved here last summer in a cozy waterfront community.

If you follow the coastline south, you might run into my parents, Rachel & Berry, who live near Topsail Island. They live amongst the waterways and shorebirds.

In May of last year, I had the fortune of relocating here for work. I punched my golden ticket out of the "Golden Gate" of San Francisco.

On the other side of the country, in Cockeysville, Maryland, Hailey made the decision of a lifetime. Her family wasn't going to have all the fun of living at the beach without her! That included her precious Doodle, Maple, and sassy hamster, Marcy.

Now that the pieces were all set, the adventure could begin!

The magic that had been stirring since the start of 2024 soared in August when Hailey and I decided to meet for the very first time.

On the beach that I later proposed to her on, we felt an instant connection. God had written us into each other's lives, and we've been inseparable ever since.

Just the day after, we found ourselves holding hands and singing in church and finding fun in our corner of coastal North Carolina.

After many walks on the beach, boat rides, and Sunday brunches together, we knew it just had to be. God let me pop the question to bring our lives together, which happened at the blink of an eye. We truly wouldn't have it any other way.

We are humbled to have you as our guest and cannot wait to celebrate with you this May as the poem continues!
