Hailey and Evan met when they were attending Fordham Law School in the spring of 2014. They first became friends when they were participating in an alternative spring break trip in Port-au-Prince, Haiti during Evan's 2L year and Hailey's 1L year. Over the next year, they continued to get to know each other while working together on the Fordham International Law Journal. They started dating before Evan graduated. They made it through Evan's bar exam and then Hailey's 3L year and bar exam, a long distance relationship, practice area shifts, and a trial before they got engaged. Over the years, Hailey and Evan have gotten to travel together to explore London, Inverness, Edinburgh (for the Fringe Festival!), Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Napa, Berlin, and Montreal. After three great years in Brooklyn, they've taken the plunge to become suburbanites and have been enjoying settling into life in Irvington.

In anticipation of their engagement, Evan planned a celebration in Brooklyn with Hailey's parents, Hailey's brother, Sean, Hailey's cousins Bob and John, Evan's parents, and Evan's brother, Max on August 3, 2019. And although the ring wasn't ready on time, Evan proposed anyway...with a ring pop!

While we could not have anticipated the stressful events that 2020 would bring, Hailey and Evan have been fortunate to have each other and navigate through it together. Although this pandemic has significantly changed our plans for October 3, 2020, we look forward to having the opportunity to celebrate with you in the future.
