Daniel and Hailey, both born and raised in Hartsville, went to the University of South Carolina after high school graduation. While in college, Daniel worked for the intramural sports teams and Hailey worked at Cracker Barrel.


One night, as Daniel was leaving the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center after work, and Hailey was entering with her friend to get a good workout in!


As we run into each other, it was almost immediate smiles and hugs as if we had known each other our whole lives. Although we went to high school together, wed never really spoken to one another. But to our surprise, we were both very happy to meet each other.


Following that evening, Hailey and Daniel stayed connected and eventually moved home from college due to Covid-19. While in Hartsville, Daniel asked Hailey if she would like to go for a late night ride, as everything was closed (due to Covid). From that very first night, we had become inseparable.
