We met way back in youth soccer out at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN where our dads coached our soccer team together. Jer specifically remembers having a crush on me back then & I specifically remember wanting nothing to do with boys. We both recall me beating Jer in sprints at soccer practice & his older brothers making fun of him for it. I also vividly remember Jer coming home with my family & I one day after soccer practice with his red booster seat & us sitting across from each other at the dinner table eating spaghetti.
Years passed, Jer went to Saint Augustine school & I went to public school, so we didn’t see each other often. The next particular memory I have of Jer is when I entered into the 6th grade bleachers on my first day of school and my classmates whispered about how Jerrett Nagel had a crush on me. Throughout middle school and high school we were always involved in each other’s lives & finally my senior year of high school & Jer’s junior year of high school - Jer had me hooked on him for life. We’ve been there for each other at one middle school dance, many high school dances, numerous high school clubs & sporting events, every high school & college graduation, through passings of our family members, we survived 4 years of a long distance relationship, and were there for each other through our first days at new jobs. We’ve been through the highest of highs together & the lowest of lows.
Now, we have the bestest families constantly supporting us, including 2 beautiful nieces & 1 nephew that we adore. We have 2 cats that are our world & we recently bought our first home! We wouldn’t trade our story for the world & are so grateful that God gave us each other because we truly don’t know what our lives would look like without one another. Next up - it’s time to get married!! :)
