A day before, on July 3rd, you asked me to be your girlfriend at one of our favorite restaurants, Italianos. Overjoyed, I, of course, said yes and shook your hand to seal the deal (to this day, you still refuse to shake my hand again). Since we had been dating for one day, I figured it was time for you to meet the family and asked you to join us at the 4th of July show in town. That was one of my favorite 4th of July's of all time.

Our senior year of high school we were inseparable. We did everything together and experienced everything we could. You asked me to go to homecoming with you out in the parking lot and I of course said yes. If anyone asks, I think we were the cutest couple.

Prom, a night to remember. Not only were we celebrating one of our last school events, aside from graduation, we were also celebrating your birthday. The night was filled with dancing, laughter, and metallic rose gold converse.

Graduation day came quicker than we could have anticipated. Together, we walked the stage and closed that chapter of our lives.

For five LONG years, we have done long-distance in some way or another. Whether it be in College Station, Denton, Huntsville, Splendora, and now Maryland. Through all of it, our love for one another has grown exponentially. We've helped each other through obstacle after obstacle (including a real-world pandemic) and have come out on the other side even stronger.

On December 14, 2023, Michael graduated from Texas A&M! All those long nights of studying and full days of working hard finally paid off. From high school to college, I watched as he grew into a man of integrity, honor, and discipline and could not be more proud. Unfortunately, we were so busy I didn't get a photo with him in his cap and gown.

Finally! The day we all waited so patiently for, Michael proposed. On January 19th, 2024 in the most beautiful place, the most beautiful man pulled off the most beautiful proposal. Huffing and puffing, out of breath from the climb, and with cold hands from the whipping wind you got down on one knee and proposed. I had to think hard about it but decided to say yes (I answered in a heartbeat). I still can't believe Michael got Abby to meet us at the top and I never saw her!

Through everything it has always been me and you. Even when we were just friends, playing Trivia Crack and talking in the messages, it has always been me and you. It just took three tries before I was ready to admit my feelings for you. To quote the greatest movie/book of all time (Twilight of course) I am unconditionally and irrevocably in love with you. These past seven years together have been the greatest of my life. Our future is ahead of us. This has been the brief story of us, and it has oh so many more pages to be filled. Now and forever, this is us.
