Things to Do

What are the must see's if I am planning to take a vacation to the Pacific Northwest?

We have so many beautiful spots to see in the summer here! We can give you more detailed information if you ask but we recommend the following:

1). Buy tickets to be walk on passengers at the Washington State Ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. It is a beautiful way to see the San Juan Islands and doesn't take a lot of time! You can have lunch or dinner over there and then come back all in one day.

2). Pack a picnic to Washington Park in Anacortes or Deception Pass.

3.). Take a picnic to Peace Arch Park in Blaine, WA. You can walk through the park and stand in Canada or the US without having to physically cross the border. This is a good option for those who don't have passports.

4. Seattle musts: The Space Needle, the Pier (and specifically Ivar’s Seafood), Pikes Place Market and home of the very first Starbucks, Wings Over Washington or the Great Wheel.

5. Drive up Mt. Baker and hike around Artists Point.

6. Oyster Dome hike

7. Paddle Boarding on Lake Padden (you can also walk around the park)

8. See a sunset at Boulevard Park in Bellingham.

9. Walk around Fairhaven and get gelato at Serena's.

10. Edaleen Dairy for those who love ice cream!

Favorite places to eat

In Lynden: The Newsroom Pub, The Mill, Nami, Avenue Bread, and Chandara House

In Blaine/Birch Bay/Semiahmoo: Packers or CJ's
