Ryan and Haleigh were introduced by a mutual friend the start of fall 2023. Haleigh made the first move-which if you know Haleigh at all that was a BOLD move by her! After one week of texting, they agreed to go on their first date for a shared love— MARGARITAS. Clearly the date went well because they agreed on a second date with another shared love, horror movies! (Saw X) after saying goodbye, Ryan walked past a man peeing in the parking lot which was a clear sign they were meant to be together 😉

After two months of dating, they decided to take a weekend trip to Holland MI to get away! This weekend opened both of their eyes to wanting to make it “Facebook official” 😉 (even though Ryan doesn’t have a Facebook lol)

The story of how they got engaged!
Ryan’s initial plan was to propose on Friday because he was off work and Haleigh had to work. Giving him time to set the house up! Haleigh ruined his plans by telling Ryan she most likely would have Friday off! Therefore he decided he wanted to do it on that Wednesday because he would be home before her.
In a rush, he purchased flowers to scatter on top of the red carpet. He was in the final stage of setting everything up when Haleigh called on her way home from work- like she does everyday. The closer she got to home, she noticed he was being more quiet and not paying attention to what she was saying. She called him out on it and he just told her he was cleaning out the garage! Which she believed him lol! When Haleigh arrived at home, she asked him to open the garage door for her to which he said “No there’s stuff in the way” Haleigh responded with “rude” 😂 upon trying to enter the house, Haleigh realized the front door was locked and was mad because her hands were full and the front door is NEVER locked! After finally getting in the house, Haleigh realized Ryan was nowhere to be found and she went and looked in the garage! She found Ryan at the end of the red carpet with a heart shape made with flowers (yellow, her favorite color) it was a simple proposal, they way they both wanted it! 🤍
