We met through a mutual friend who spent months trying to get us to meet. Finally, during Haleigh’s birthday weekend, she thought, “Why not?” and invited Clayton out to celebrate. From that night on, the rest was history, we've been inseparable ever since.

Together, we’ve navigated new jobs, new apartments, and all the ups and downs of life. Through every step, we’ve known we couldn’t imagine doing it without each other by our side.

May of 2024 was a special month for many reasons. We were planning a trip to St. Petersburg, FL, our yearly vacation to decompress and enjoy quality time together. Little did Haleigh know (okay... she slightly knew) that Clayton was planning to propose on the trip.

After a long day of travel, we headed straight to the beach to relax. Later that evening, Clayton suggested dinner at a nice restaurant. Haleigh didn’t think much of it, her birthday was the next day, and it was the first night of vacation, after all.

They booked an Uber to the St. Petersburg pier, and that’s when Haleigh started to suspect something. She even texted a friend: "I think Clayton is about to propose." When they arrived, Clayton reached for her hand and Haleigh asked, "Why are your hands so clammy?" A few minutes later, she had her answer.

Haleigh isn’t much of a crier, but the second Clayton got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him, the tears came, and so did an immediate YES!
