Haley and Evan went 25 years living in the same city without ever meeting each other. They grew up on different sides of town and went to different schools.

It wasn't until one night when Evan came into town to meet his childhood friend, Andre Vincent, that he finally laid eyes on Haley. Evan immediately wanted to get to know her. Meanwhile, Haley, who had been friends with Andre since college, pulled Andre aside and said "Where have you been hiding your friend?!"

Friendly get togethers turned into wedding dates, and within a month, Evan asked Haley to be his girlfriend! Their relationship blossomed even with a state in-between them. Haley visited Evan until quarantine lock down allowed Evan to move back to Lafayette. They were able to spend more time together than long distance would have allowed. Evan spent more time at home and was then accepted to American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, where he moved for a year and a half. Their relationship persevered with many trips of Haley visiting him on the island and Evan coming home on holidays.

Evan finally came home for good April 2023 with full intent of proposing to Haley. Evan knows that Haley wants to know everything at all times and had to find a way to surprise her for his proposal. Haley randomly asked Evan if they could go eat at their favorite restaurant, Antoni's, and it was the perfect opportunity to plan something after dinner. Evan gathered up their friends and family without alerting Haley and set up a proposal party that Haley would never forget!

After dinner, Haley and Evan arrived at the Lafleur residence and Evan had to rush to get in position while his sister, Corinne, and friend Leslie, distracted Haley. Once he was ready, Haley was brought in view of Evan and her jaw dropped to the floor. They danced and sang the night away with close family and friends and they will cherish this memory forever!

They cannot wait celebrate with all of you on their big day!
