People often say you always seem to find love when you aren’t even looking and honestly as cliché as that sounds that is exactly how their story began. They were both on their own individual journeys of self-discovery and personal growth. And, little did they know a sober event would bring us together.

Thad and Haley’s story began in March of 2022 when the two of them sat across a table in front of each other playing bingo. Followed by this, a group of them met to go cyber bowling (this was the first and last time Haley beat Thad in a game of bowling). Then, they parted ways and called it a night!

Later that night, Haley made the first move by sending Thad a Facebook message that lead to more texting and hanging out!

Thad and Haley quickly connected through their hobbies of fishing, being outdoors, sports, and bingo!

Since they’ve met, creating memories with their families and two doggos, Kooper and Lenny, has/is a top priority in both of their lives too!

Thad proposed to Haley on July 27th, 2024 during a stop in South Dakota on their way to Yellowstone National Park for a week-long vacation.

Haley and Thad spent the afternoon visiting Mt. Rushmore, followed by trout fishing at Horse Thief Lake and a quick pizza date. The two went to watch the sunset at Black Hills National Forest - Breezy Point Overlook where Thad popped the question! Without a doubt, Haley said “yes!”
