It all started as servers at Buca Di Beppo. I was 19 and Nick was 22, both still figuring out our life. I remember I would come into work, and Nick would be the one to smile at me and always compliment me. That was secretly a highlight of my shift, but I never told him that. Overtime, we became friends. Things changed at a Halloween party at our friend Marissa and Steven’s in 2019 and we finally started dating March 20, 2020, at the Reinmund wedding. The next big step in our relationship was doing long distance when I moved to Fort Worth for PA school in August of 2021. Nick would travel to come see me monthly and I would come down to Houston on my breaks. It was a tough 2 and a half years, but we made each visit count! The proposal was on the morning of December 23, 2023, walking down the Galveston beach. The same beach where Nick had first told me he loved me. I of course said yes, and the rest, as they say, is history.
