Madison, WI: We technically met for the first time in early 2018 at a party thrown by Pooja Mehta -- but those details are a bit fuzzy!

Alberta, CA: We met again (and remembered it!) while working together on the implementation of Connect Care with Alberta Health Services. We got close over a shared love of music, nerdy stuff, and karaoke.

Our first friend-date was seeing the Madison Symphony Orchestra perform the music of Queen live at Concerts on the Square -- a few months later, I asked Elliott on our first real date to go see Bohemian Rhapsody!

By New Years, we were drunk (on love)!

I met Elliott's family in February of 2019...

...and Elliott met my family soon after!

In May we decided to put our relationship to the test by driving across the country together - Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington! This trip proved we go together like buffaloes and more buffaloes.

2020 didn't look quite the way anyone planned; but with good luck and a good sense of humor, we made it through.

We were engaged in the spring of 2023 on the banks of the Katsura River in Kyoto, Japan.
