OUR STORY

November 21, 2020It all started when Haley’s Instagram profile popped up on Lawton’s suggested feed, so he decided to follow her. Neither of them knew each other at the time. A few hours later, Haley was working at Maggie Jayne’s Snoballs during the Appling Harlem Christmas Festival. Lawton was standing in line for a snoball when they met for the first time. Later that day, Lawton messaged her on Instagram, saying, "You're the girl from Maggie Jayne's!," and they started messaging back and forth. December 4, 2020Lawton planned to visit Haley at work. December 8, 2020We officially started dating. April 27, 2024Lawton proposed at Augusta University, the place where they both went to school together. While taking Haley’s graduation pictures, Lawton suggested they get a picture together and asked a "random stranger" with a camera to take their photo. As the lady snapped the picture, Lawton got down on one knee and asked Haley to marry him. What Haley didn’t know was that Lawton had secretly hired the photographer to capture the moment. After the proposal, they took engagement pictures!

Can I bring a plus-one?Our wedding is by invitation only. Due to venue limitations, we are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Venue Details

Is there parking available at the venue?Yes, there is plenty of on-site parking. Just follow the signs upon arrival! Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?The ceremony will take place outdoors, and the reception will be held indoors.

Day-of Information

When should I arrive?Please plan to arrive 15–30 minutes prior to the ceremony's start time. We ask that everyone be in their seats no later than 15 minutes before the start time.

Dress Code

What should I wear? We would love to see our family and friends dressed up to celebrate with us! Please come in formal attire. For the Ladies:A midi, maxi, or floor-length dress, pantsuit, or skirt below the knee with a dressy top. Please avoid white, cream, ivory, or any colors that resemble white, as those are reserved for the bride. For the Gentleman:A suit, dress pants with a sport coat, or a button-down shirt with dress pants. Ties are preferred. Please, no jeans or shorts.
