Our story began in the most unexpected place—my stepdad Rob’s high school classroom. I was just a high school student back then, and Drew, who was in college, would stop by to visit Rob. I remember those first conversations so clearly; Drew had this way of making everyone feel comfortable, and we quickly became friends.
Through my high school years and Drew’s time in college, our friendship grew stronger. We would laugh, talk about everything under the sun, and just enjoy the simplicity of being there for each other. But life, as it does, took us in different directions. For nearly a decade, we went our separate ways. We both had our own journeys to take, and though we didn’t stay in touch, I think a part of me always wondered how Drew was doing.
Fast forward ten years, and somehow, life brought us back together. We reconnected as friends, and it felt so natural, like no time had passed at all. At first, it was just catching up—sharing stories, talking about where life had taken us—but then something shifted. We started spending more and more time together, and before we knew it, we just couldn’t stop seeing each other.
Somewhere along the way, it hit me: this wasn’t just friendship anymore. It was love. Real, deep, and undeniable love—the kind that comes from years of knowing someone, from having a shared history, and from seeing the person they’ve become.
Now, here we are, getting ready to say “I do.” Our story is one of second chances, of finding our way back to each other, and of realizing that sometimes, life really does know best. I can’t wait to spend forever with Drew, my best friend and the love of my life.
