In 2012, I (haley) started working at Primos Pizza, my very first job. Little did I know that job would be where my future husband worked! Dave and I made it official November 28, 2015 and that December we spent Christmas with each other’s families.
That January of 2016 I began nursing school, which took up 95% of my attention. Dave supported me throughout the entire journey from tears, sweat, literal blood, and countless canceled plans because of the need to study. I truly couldn’t have had a more understanding partner. In 2018 I graduated nursing school and Dave had began his career at Resorts World Catskills.
Flash forward to 2020. Covid shut down the world (except for my job). So, I decided to go back to school (as any other rationale human would). I won’t go into too much detail because most know, but the summer of 2020 was the most trying summer of our lives. We lost my dad suddenly that August.
August, since then, has always been a difficult month for all of us. Which is why I felt August was the most fitting date for our wedding. Let me explain that a little. My dad knew the impact this would leave on us for the rest of our lives. And I know he would want us to find time for joy in the midst of the sorrow we feel for his loss.
In the summer of 2022, unknown to me, Dave began planning his proposal. He planned a trip to Cancun, Mexico for February 2023. The week of my birthday and Valentine’s Day.
Flash forward a little to now and we are so close to the big day! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
