Our story started through social media. I know some may say social media is the downfall of our society but it led me to the love of my life. On July 20, 2025, Anthony and I became friends on Facebook 11 years ago! Now that is where our story began but our friendship didn't develop until a few years later in 2019.

In 2019 Anthony made the brave choice to start messaging me and getting to know me. There was immediate chemistry so we decided to meet in person. When we finally met in person I was beyond nervous so I talked ALOT and was definitely very goofy and I would even go as far to say that I was weirder than normal. I for sure thought that Anthony would never talk to me again after that day and it made me sad but he would have been crazy to still talk to me after how weird I was. Well call Anthony crazy because he still chose to message me the next day! Our story is interesting because it was a mix of two classic tales as old as time-"right person, wrong time," and "best friends fall in love." I say this because even though Anthony chose to embrace my goofy and weird side, we decided that it would be best if we remained friends.

Throughout the next two years there were a handful of times that we tried to date but if one of us was ready for the relationship, the other one wasn't. We both always felt a gravitational pull towards each other but it really was the classic "right person, wrong time." Each time we decided it would be better to remain friends we continued to grow our friendship. We both reserved every Saturday to spend with each other. We would spend our time exploring new restaurants and trying new dishes. We would go hiking, eat in parks, and of course Anthony's favorite-watch the scariest movies of all time. We truly became best friends and learned more about each other each time we would see each other. We both had learned a lot about each other's past, present, and what we wanted for our future. The most important thing we found in each other was our dedication to our faith and our desire to grow in our faith together. Anthony and I have always said that we felt God put us in each other's lives when we needed each other the most. The closer we became in our friendship the more the feelings began to grow into feelings of love.

One day I texted Anthony and asked him if he wanted to hangout and go for a drive and talk. Little did I know that this night was going to change the trajectory of our lives forever. After I sent that text Anthony decided that he was going to tell me how he felt about me. We drove around for a while listening to our favorite songs until we finally stopped at Lake Elmo to talk and watch the rain fall into the lake. Now when I tell you this moment was a classic love story movie scene, it really felt like it. As the rain poured down, a love song came on the radio called "Saturday Nights." As that song came on it felt like everything moved in slow motion. I felt like I could hear each rain drop hit the car. I could hear my heart beating loud in my chest, and I felt like my thoughts were so loud in my head that they could be heard. Anthony and I were both looking out the car window when I felt him slowly begin to hold my hand in his hand. I finally turned my head to look at him and he told me how he felt about me. He told me that he really liked me and cared for me and wanted to be with me. From that moment on we never parted ways. We were inseparable and in love. We went from best friends to forever partners in life.

Fast forward 3 years, Anthony took me to the Moss Mansion under the impression that my friend was going to be taking pictures of us for her portfolio for her photography business. The Moss Mansion is a special place for Anthony and I because we love the history and we have spent many date nights there attending the many events that they host. We took many pictures in front of the flowers, the building, and the archway before Anthony proposed. My friend, Taite, had me turn around in another direction while Anthony got down on one knee and pulled the ring out. They were both very clever in figuring out how to make me believe that this was all for the portfolio. Taite had me turn around to see Anthony down on one knee with the most beautiful ring in my hand as Taite snapped the most beautiful pictures from that precious moment. I of course said yes and here we are today!
