When should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP on our website by February 9th, 2024.
What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?
The ceremony and reception will both be held at Springfield Manor, 11836 Auburn Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788. You will enter the ceremony and reception through the rear and will be wheelchair accessible.
Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
Yes. Signs will guide you to ample parking in the rear of the venue.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding will be indoors.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
We have rooms blocked at Springhill Suites in Frederick for March 7th through the 9th. It is located approximately 12 minutes from the venue. It is a bit pricey, so another option is the Super 8 in Thurmont. We are not blocked there, but there should be availability.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is semi-formal. We would love to see our friends and family in a suit jacket or a blazer with dress pants and dresses that are midi length or longer.
Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?
We would also love for you to incorporate shades of pink into your outfits. But most importantly, we want our guests to be comfortable so please feel free to wear what you love :)
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
We have limited capacity at our venue, so we'd appreciate no surprise guests. Invitations and the RSVP website will clearly include a plus-one if you have been allotted one. Thank you!
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entrée.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, along with specialty cocktails. Please note that one of our cocktails will be non-alcoholic to accommodate those who do not consume alcohol, but alcohol can be added or removed from either drink upon request.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
Our ceremony will start promptly at 6:00 pm, so plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get settled.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
The reception will start at 7:30, so there will be about an hour gap between the end of the ceremony and the reception. This time can be used to mingle and get drinks.
Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?
We invite our out-of-town guests to stop by our home for coffee, tea, and pastries on the way to the airport or if they just feel like seeing us one last time. We will have pastries from our favorite bakery along with coffee and tea from 12-2 on March 9th.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We are requesting that no photos or videos be taken during our ceremony. We have selected a wonderful photographer and videographer who will document our event and we would be happy to share those with you. Thank you for understanding!
