When Sean first saw Haley, it was at a Meet & Greet for a medical student trip to Honduras at the local bouldering gym. Sean immediately noticed the "badass" girl climbing barefoot and was instantly enamored. Haley immediately noticed Sean's DNA tattoo and was instantly confused, asking, "what were you thinking when you got that?!" Sean stared at her, and then awkwardly walked away, but never forgot how cool that girl seemed. They got to know each other more on their trip to Honduras in Amapala (read lovely romantic island with fresh seafood, salsa dancing, beach, and rum), and Sean discovered that Haley just didn't want to pay the $3 bucks for the shoe rental! What a cheapo! But alas the boy was already in love. They started dating and eventually, Sean would plan an elaborate proposal at Rainbow Falls that would be ruined by Haley on four consecutive occasions, with Haley saying "why in the world do you want to drive four hours to see a waterfall?!" Sean ended up not proposing at the waterfall, in part due to ruined plans, and in part due to one guy banging rocks on the river bed at another waterfall Sean tried to propose at. After multiple days of the ring burning a hole in Sean's pocket, they would eventually end up at Nags Head beach in the Outer Banks to spend the weekend at the beach with roommates and friends. The sunrise was so beautiful that Sean made Haley get up at 5:40 am twice! The first for funsies, the second to propose. And now they're getting married! Woot!
