Dressy casual! Please no street clothes (t-shirts, short-shorts, etc). The church may be chilly, so dress accordingly!
Here are some examples:
Women (Dress, Jumpsuit, skirt, Heels/flats, dress slacks, sweaters);
Men (Button-down shirt, dress slacks, close-toed shoes)
Are kids invited?
Yes! We have no problem with children coming with guests. We love kiddos!
One thing to keep in mind is that the ceremony will be a traditional Catholic Mass ceremony, so it will last about an hour and a half. You can always exit the church if the children get a bit fussy during the ceremony. We won't mind. Just be respectful if you do exit during the ceremony. :)
Do we need to inform you about dietary needs?
We plan to have a buffet style dinner with choices of Roast Beef in Au Ju and Marinated Chicken breast. Side options will include cheesy hash browns, glazed carrots, mixed greens with various dressings, and Mac and cheese. If you are worried about certain food allergies, we recommend eating before the reception.
Are we able to take personal photos with cell phones?
We kindly ask for cell phones to be put away and turned off, or silenced, during the ceremony out of respect for the photographer and the celebration of the Mass. You are more than welcome to take photos during the reception!
What are the options for lodging in the area?
Due to the ceremony and reception locations being in small towns, we plan to block rooms at two hotels in the immediate area (listed on the website). We will also recommend other places of lodging in towns outside of the area (no greater than 45-50 minutes away). We recommend getting rooms sooner than later due to availability and location!
