Eli and I met the most 21st century way... on social media after following each other on Instagram. We finally decided to meet in person on a quick date in our future "halfway" spot, Morganton. Months went by without any further communication until we met again on the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort. After that day in 2021, we were inseparable. We alternated weekends between UNC Charlotte and Appalachian State for many years until the distance grew another hour when we both graduated and moved home. We have been "long distance" since the start. It was difficult, but we have always made it work. The distance makes the time we do get together so special. We cannot wait to move into our Canton home together after the wedding with our sweet pup Case and our cat Sophie and finally be a family.
