Our Story

God knew we needed one another. Our love story is one that we will forever cherish, and we want each of you to be part of this journey!

Mason and I met a year ago, at a lovely park in a small NC town called Zebulon, in between each of us. At the time, I was working on an OT contract in Rocky Mount, NC and Mason was working in Kenansville, NC. Not knowing exactly what to expect after matching on Hinge and messaging on the app for 3 days, we decided to meet in person. We walked down a dirt path, getting to know one another and asking lot of questions about each other, and smiling the whole time. Even on our first date, Mason acted like he saw a snake hiding in the weeds and spooked me! We got pizza for dinner, after our 3 hour walk. We both didn't finish the pizza, since we were so nervous at first! That is so funny now to look back at, since we have no problem finishing a pizza together now! Our first date lasted 5 whole hours, even with me offering for Mason to use gas visits at Sheetz, just so I could have a few more moments with Mason. I remember vividly right after our first date; I called my sister Whitney saying that I have met my future husband. I told her about all the wonderful qualities Mason has and how he is "husband material".

And goodness, I was right about that! :)

I had ten more days working in Rocky Mount before I headed back to TN for my next travel assignment. Within those ten days, Mason and I met 6 out of those 10 days, going on as many dates as possible and having a blast together every chance we got! The last couple of days I was there before heading back to TN, Mason and I decided to start dating. From there, we made so many weekend trips to see each other, wrote letters in the mail to each other, and made sure to have a phone call every night before bed to pray and ask each other how our day went. Even though we were long distance for a few months, we made the most of it, and we made sure to work on our relationship daily.

A year later, my sweet Mason asked me to marry him on May 4th, 2024, almost exactly on our 1-year anniversary at Moses Cone Lookout on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a significant spot, and I can tell you all why that is. We met in Boone/ the Blue Ridge Parkway on one of our weekends to meet while I was back home in TN, and here we started walking along the trail. A couple we didn't know took our picture of us together, standing in the field and looking into each other's eyes and talking. We didn't even realize the couple was there, but they walked up to us and told us they could tell our love was so strong and so pure, even from a distance away.

We will never forget that day.

Now, as we begin our wedding planning, we are so excited to embark on this journey with our beloved family and friends! Without each of you, this time would not be possible. You have each molded us into who we are, and the love we share. Our connection is very special, and we knew even after our first date, that we were meant for each other to spend the rest of our lives together. We are in such amazement of the support and encouragement we have received throughout this past year.

Let us begin the celebration of God's blessings on our relationship, and this sweet love that only Jesus could orchestrate.
