Alan and Liz met in October 1994 during an H&R Basic Tax Course in Palmdale, CA. Alan wanted to learn how to do his own taxes to save money, and Liz needed to take the course for continuing education as a licensed Tax Preparer. It was undoubtedly destiny because had she not procrastinated, she might have never met Alan.

Liz made first contact during the class breaks and attempted to make conversation with Alan. However, he didn’t seem to be interested in making much small talk. Liz wasn’t really bothered–she was just being her friendly outgoing self. Since Liz was a seasoned Tax Preparer, the instructor always called on her for answers to questions, so when she went MIA for about a week due to a family emergency, Alan noticed. When she returned to class, she ended up sitting next to Alan since it was the only chair available (or was it?). During the class, Alan slipped her a note asking “Where have you been, slacker?” Liz broke down in tears, and proceeded to write back that she had gone to a funeral. Alan didn’t know what to say, but he handed her a tissue.

Later that evening, Alan asked Liz to grab some coffee, which was the beginning of their relationship. At first, she didn’t want to make a commitment, but after several dates and gestures like leaving special notes for Liz to find, checking up on her during his commute from Lancaster to LA, helping her move, and even giving her a key to his house so she didn’t have to drive so far during her lunch break, Alan won Liz’s heart and they became inseparable.

Liz and Alan eventually moved in together and enjoyed life until they decided to move to Las Vegas, NV, where they now reside. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas, Alan proposed, and they got married on May 8, 1999.

24 years later, they still live right where they raised their two lovely children, Haley and Ethan. They are so excited to welcome their future son-in-law, Stephen, to their family.

In 1987, Steve and Noel's love story began during their high school days. College brought them apart, but destiny had other plans. In 1995, Steve was in a life-altering car accident which served as a turning point. As Steve got out of the hospital, the decision to rekindle their love echoed like a promise.

On August 3, 1996, in the heart of Napa Valley, they vowed to stand by each other. Their family expanded–Stephen was born on March 19, 1998, and Chris was born on May 17, 2000.

Through thick and thin and laughter and tears, Steve and Noel navigated the labyrinth of life, emerging stronger each time.

Their love story has unfolded on the canvas of the world, adorned with travels that have etched memories into their souls.

Together, they have crafted a family--a masterpiece woven with threads of love, commitment, and shared dreams.

Today, in the quiet embrace of Grass Valley, their journey continues as they welcome Haley King as their daughter with open arms and love.
