Cauy and I met during our first year of college when I yelled out of my dorm room window at a group of guys playing corn hole, asking if my friends and I could come play. The two of us became very close friends in no time. However, the entire 2 years I was NCTA, we remained strictly close friends even though there was an undeniable connection between the two of us.
After 2 years at college, I left for my internship in Harrisburg, SD. Not having many plans for after graduation, I applied for a vet tech position at B&B Veterinary Services in Elwood, NE. Whilst I was on internship, Cauy was finishing his second year of college and preparing for summer break before heading back for his third and final year of college. Although we were 6.5 hours from one another, we remained close friends and talked almost every day.
After my internship, I packed up and moved to Elwood to start my new life in Nebraska. Funny thing about Elwood is that Cauy grew up there. Without skipping a beat, we would hang out from time to time. Whether it was Medo’s with Ben Bogle or Ben’s race shop, to grab food from Lexington, or just a group of them playing cards, we could be found together. In a matter of no time, we became inseparable and will soon spend the rest of our lives with one another! However, there is not an exact date of when we started dating because every time Cauy asked, I would say “no” or “why do we need to put a label on this?”
