The way Haley and I met was something of fate, due the the fact that l wanted to work at cold stone instead of JCPenneys. I got hired due to my father best friend in high school being the manager and offering me a job as a cashier it was pretty intimidating due to the fact that it was my first retail job and | had never ran a register and or folded clothes correctly in my life. I first met Haley when I was put in the womens section of the store and at that moment I knew she did not like me. It took some time before she even said hi, but on one day she walked over and actually had a discussion with me. She was there to ask me for my number for a different store employee.
We actually got to talking because she messaged me first, and I completely lost it for her. She was smart. funny, and had this sarcastic humor that I adored. After texting more and mere, she started to take me home when I didnt have a car yet because it was being worked on and that kind of started our relationship. The third time hanging out ! almost said I love you however I covered it up with a kiss on her forehead. Then the night that changed everything rolled around and it was black Friday. Haley and I were working and l asked her to go on a walk around the store to just talk. She and I talked about what we wanted and how we both shared the feeling that we liked each other I than tried for the next month to be her boyfriend and on the day of December 26 I achieved what I thought was unimaginable. The rest is history
Chad and I have known eachother for almost 8 years and have been together as a couple for seven years in December. I remember the day I finally decided to actually have a conversation with Chad. I had stayed up the night before hanging out with friends and had to work super early the next morning at JC Penny. Chad and I were in charge of folding the clothes in the kids section or it was the men’s section. I don’t remember, but I honestly thought Chad was your average Mormon kid who had never done anything wrong besides lie about being sick so he didn’t have to go to church. He started telling me about the type of music he listened to. Nothing crazy just very interesting choice of rap music. We talked about a lot that day and eventually Chad or I decided to exchange numbers. At first I had no interest in Chad. Another coworker of ours had a massive crush on him and I tried talking her up and getting them together.
Chad and I talked, and somehow constantly were put in the same departments or same project at work. It became a daily thing where we took our lunches together and would play jokes on each other. We both were very sarcastic and we hit it off from the beginning. Our relationship just fell into place with life. It wasn’t hard, it wasn’t uncomfortable it was simply simple. But that doesn’t mean it was love at first sight. I knew I loved having Chad around as a friend and enjoyed his company. We hung out a few times outside of work, that including me driving him home because I thought he looked so alone walking on a busy road.
I remember us working together on Black Friday, one of busiest days in retail. We worked together all day and then got to take our lunch together. Chad and I went outside to get some air and get away from the crazy and that’s when Chad told me he liked me more than a friend… which I already knew, but I also told him I liked him too.
Chad asked me to be his girlfriend probably 6 times before I finally said yes. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to date him, but because he would ask on terrible days (and I wanted to play hard to get). Our first date was on December 5th he took me to play mini golf and eat burgers. We had a blast and continued to hang out out side of work. Out first kiss was on December 8th which is a story on its own. Chad first told me he loved me in the summer of 2018 while we were at the lake. I think he said it before hand but under his breath. Chad and I slowly started to build our life together. We moved in with each other when Chad graduated high school in 2019. We got Houston our German shepherd together and we now have a total of 3 dogs together; Daisy, Houston, Bruno. 3 cats; Hallow, Dagger, and Spooky, and 10 chickens. We have built an entire life and family together. Everyday we have chose each other and have work hard to accomplish and achieve our goals together and Individually. He is my biggest supporter and I can’t wait to marry him, the photo above was taken on our first date.
