Haley and Mark met in 2019 in a chance meeting on Tinder. Mark was over 100 miles away, and there was no way they could've matched, seeing as he'd never even heard of Augusta, Georgia, and yet they both ended up with a Super Like.

After approximately two minutes of conversation via texting, Haley made Mark Facetime her to make sure he wasn't a catfish. As soon as it was confirmed that he was, in fact, real, the conversation went on.... and on.... and on. By the next day, they were talking constantly, and had a regular, scheduled Facetime call every night with an expected runtime of anywhere from 2-5 hours. After a few weeks of conversation, Mark decided he'd travel from Eatonton, Georgia, to meet Haley. He ended up traveling in the wrong direction, and ended up in Atlanta instead, but instead of going home, he turned around and came all the way to North Augusta, where they'd have their first date.

Though they had an incredible first, second, and even third date, the distance ultimately got in the way, and they decided to remain friends. It wasn't until 2022 that the real love story began.

In September of 2021, Haley had her son, Henry. Prior to his birth, she'd reached out to Mark in the hopes of catching up, not even sure if he knew she was pregnant. He didn't, and they spent some time talking about how much life had changed since their time together. At this point, Haley was really starting to regret letting him go, but knew it wasn't the right time to speak up.

After a few more months of talking every now and again, Haley asked Mark on February 18, 2022 if he thought there was a chance they'd ever be able to work things out. He said "there's a chance, but I'd want to take things really slow." In that moment, Haley knew she'd do whatever it took to make sure that "chance" became a reality.

Within the next few weeks, the Facetime calls would become more consistent, then daily, like they used to be. Within months, the two were inseparable. Not only had Mark fallen in love with Haley, but he'd also fallen in love with Henry, and they slowly became a family.

Mark proposed on December 26, 2022. So much for taking it slow, right? This story is different from so many other love stories because so many things had to click at the right moment for Haley and Mark to have found each other, not once, but twice. Fate knew what it was doing when it brought these two together.
