It all started in the Spring of 2020 at the Marshfield town pier—a place known for scenic views, salty air, and apparently, matchmaking. A mutual friend introduced them, and at the time, Haley was finishing up her freshman year of college at Merrimack, and Jake was working as an electrical apprentice. After a few months of pretending to just be “friends", Jake finally asked her to be his girlfriend, officially. On the 4th of July, of course!

The first real date didn’t happen until the world reopened post-pandemic. They celebrated their new freedom with dinner and a night out in Boston.

Since then, they’ve racked up memories (and airline miles), traveling to Aruba four times and Nashville once.

The big moment? It happened on their very own front steps, the same day they moved into their new house in Marshfield. Surrounded by their best friends, moving boxes and pizza boxes, he proposed—and honestly, it couldn’t have been more them.

Shortly after moving and getting engaged, they added a new (and very fluffy) member to the family: a golden retriever puppy named Crush. He’s equal parts chaos and cuddle, and he’s completely stolen their hearts.

Their relationship is full of laughter, ridiculous inside jokes, and a healthy amount of arguing over what to watch on Netflix. They can’t wait to keep the silly, goofy love going forever—and they’re so glad you’re here to be part of their next chapter.
