Picture this: November 2021…3am...a dance floor in the middle of Mandalay Bay on the Vegas Strip...1 dollar bills falling from the ceiling. That's where it all started. In this case, what happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas.

Technically, Dan and Haley first met earlier that day

at a work conference. Later in the evening before the 3am dance floor, the group was all at an Irish bar in Mandalay Bay. Dan and Haley had a long conversation there that Dan remembers every detail of, and Haley vaguely remembers happening. The beginning of every good love story!

The conference ended and as all young single professionals do, Haley went to LinkedIn to find Dan. Solely for professional reasons, it had nothing to do with his stunning good looks or Aussie accent. She was sad when she realized that his location was set to Australia. What she didn’t know at the time was that this was a function of Dan not keeping social media updated, not the reality.

A few months later in March of 2022, Haley started working at the same company as Dan and learned that Dan did indeed live and work in Colorado. Even then, it wasn’t anything more than a mutual “I think he/she is kinda cute” without the other knowing.

Later in the summer thanks to a couple different group hangouts, they got each other’s numbers. A few sporadic text conversations later and they met for ice cream at Baskin Robbins. As time went on, they started spending more and more time together. A few months later, as Dan likes to say, “she put the hard word on me”, and they never looked back.

Things were going extremely well, they had both met each others’ families, and they started talking about the future more and more. On a snowy day in December 2023, Haley had a bit of a hunch that it was going to be a special one. Both being typically cool, calm, and collect, this day was anything but that. Dan was nervous about what Haley would say, and Haley was overanalyzing everything and psyching herself out.

They went snowboarding at Keystone that day and went off into the trees on one of the runs to take a break and relax for a little bit. They were sitting there under the trees talking about their life and future together. It was there that Dan got down on one knee, in the snowy wonderland, and pulled out a beautiful ring from the same Denver jeweler as Haley’s parent’s engagement and wedding rings. Tearing up before she could even get the words out, Haley answered the easiest question she’d ever been asked with a “Yes”!

Dan and Haley truly cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together and feel so blessed to have each other as a part of their life! They look forward to celebrating with you at one of their weddings in May!
