Cory and I met during our junior year of college at Whitworth University. We both played in the Wind Symphony; Cory plays the trumpet and I played the clarinet. We actually first met and became friends during the Wind Symphony's Spring Break trip to Costa Rica. We did not fall in love, however, until after I had graduated.In November of 2013, Cory contacted me because he needed to interview a first year teacher for an education class he was taking. It was during that interview, that had been supposed to take 20 minutes but instead took a few hours, that everything began. We realized then how much we enjoyed talking to each other and enjoyed each others company. Shortly after we started dating, it became apparent that Cory and I are excellent complements to each other. While we have many similarities, like how we are both teachers and are on a bowling team together, I think that our differences might almost be a more important part of our relationship. For example, Cory can remain calm no matter how giant of a ball of stress I am.Anyway, we had been dating for a little over two years when Cory proposed, and he did wonderfully. We had plans to go downtown to The Spokane Comedy Club, and we went down early to get appetizers and drinks at The Steam Plant. After we were done at The Steam Plant, Cory was insistent on going on a walk down by the river at Riverfront Park despite that it was raining. The rain actually worked out great because the park was almost empty. Cory got down on one knee and proposed and apparently I was in so much shock I didn't say yes. The best part of the night was that a man came by shortly after and told us he had been having a bad day and was really down and that watching our proposal turned his whole day around. I stared at the ring during the whole comedy show after that.

Angela and I met working at summer camp together. We became friends when I told Angela that I had the house I was living at to myself for the week and she decided to move in for the week to cut down on her gas costs and travel time. From that moment on, we were pretty inseparable and did a lot together. We have had many hobbies over the years like roller skating and going to hockey games, but one of my favorites has been wedding planning. Our lives have changed a lot since we first met, but we are still there for each other and supportive of each other no matter what stage of life we are in, which is something that I really appreciate.

Ty and Cory are cousins and grew up together. Cory adores Ty and STILL talks about Ty all the time even though Ty lives in Chicago and they only are able to get together maybe about once a year. Cory needs to come back and write these himself but in the mean time, what I most appreciate about Ty is his vast knowledge of sports and his ability to talk to me in detail about San Diego sports teams.

Billy and Cory became friends because they played trumpet together in various ensembles at Whitworth and went on some trips together with those groups. Most importantly though, is that we are all currently bowling teammates. Billy and Cory share a love of Seahawks football and I appreciate that Cory has Billy has a friend.

As I write this, Tasha's last name is still Wright, but by my wedding, it will be Wade. Tasha is my childhood best friend that is getting married three weeks before me. What timing! Tasha and I met playing soccer together and shared many interests, most notably of which was probably Harry Potter. We never went to school together but we managed to stay close which I am so thankful for. We do not get to spend much time together, but the time that we do get to spend together is incredible. In more recent years, we threw a 10 year Friendiversary party that was a huge success and went on a road trip to commemorate the occasion.

Graeme is Cory's brother-in-law that Cory adores. Cory loves spending time with Graeme and appreciates his sister's good taste in who she decided to marry. As mentioned in my description of Kim, Graeme and Kim's visits from Australia have been some of Cory's happiest times and memories.

Anna and I were roommates our senior year of college, but we became friends our freshmen year at Whitworth because we were in the Wind Symphony together and went on a tour to the west coast of Washington and Oregon during Spring Break and roomed together there. Anna and I have stayed close since graduating from Whitworth which I am so thankful for. Anna lives in Seattle now but still visits Spokane occasionally. When she visits, she usually drags me on hikes but then promises me Mexican food afterwards. In the last year, we have celebrated her marriage to Alex and the birth of her sweet daughter, Charlotte.

Catherine and I have been friends since we were very young, I believe that I was in Kindergarten when we met. We grew up in church together and in our school band programs together. We spent a lot of time together and a majority of my memories from growing up include Catherine. We have hundreds of pictures and inside jokes together and   I am thankful that we have remained close even after I moved up to Spokane.

Gary and Cory have been friends for a long time and I really like him and his girlfriend, Kim, and I like spending time with them. Gary has been a good friend to Cory and I appreciate that Gary will go do things with Cory like go golfing.

Michael is son of the best man, Ty. While I have not met Michael yet, I can already tell that I'm going to love him and that he is going to do a great job as a Ring Bearer. Cory and I are so happy to have him in our wedding!

Kim is Cory's sister so I have known her for a few years now and I adore her, but most importantly, she is Cory's sister and they are very close. Kim recently moved back to Spokane from Australia, which has made Cory over the moon happy. Prior to this move, Kim's visits to Spokane were some of the times that I have seen Cory the absolute happiest. I'm thankful that Kim and her family have been accepting and welcoming of me since Cory and I first started dating. I couldn't ask to be marrying into a better family, and I am so excited to finally have a sister(-in-law)!!

Angeni is Cory's second cousin, daughter of cousin Missy, and I was thrilled to be able to meet and spend time with her in Hawaii this past summer at Kim's wedding. We are counting on Angeni to keep everyone in line at the wedding!

Nixson is the son of Angela and will be our other Ring Bearer. I was there for Nixson's birth and I just think he's great. I'm looking so forward to him and his sister being in our wedding. Nixson needs to help Emma get down the aisle!!

Cory and Sky met in middle school jazz band. They stayed good friends through high school and college and shared interests in the same kinds of music. The two have played music together in a variety of settings.

Emma is our younger Flower Girl, and she is the daughter of Angela. Emma is important to me not only because she is the daughter of my best friend, but also because her middle name is Haley.

Spokane Airport (GEG) is the airport you will want to fly into. However, if you have plans to visit Seattle or anywhere else on the west side of the state during your visit, it might be worth it to look into flights at Seattle's Airport, SEA-TAC. Flights are usually cheaper in and out of Seattle, but Seattle is about a 5 hour drive from Spokane.Southwest Airlines usually has the cheapest flights to and from Spokane, that's the airline I usually fly. I also fly Alaska Airlines sometimes.

Uber is a ride service that is an option if you do not want to drive yourself to and from the wedding or aren't renting a car. It can be accessed by an app on your phone or through their website. It looks like a one way trip to the venue is about $30.You can set up and reserve rides ahead of time. The wedding times will be 5:00pm until 10:00pm. If you will be staying at the Red Lion River Inn, we can set up and reserve group Uber rides for you, but please let us know ahead of time if this is something you would like.

This is the hotel we have blocked rooms at! Please keep in mind, this hotel is about 20 miles from the wedding venue, so you will need transportation to and from the venue. There is not public transportation that goes all the way out to Deer Park, but it sounds like Uber would cost about $30 for one way. Please let us know if you need help with transportation. We can arrange and reserve some UberXL rides, but we need to know ahead of time who will need/want that.We have arranged a $99 group rate for either a single or a double bed guest room. We have blocked rooms for Friday July 7th and Saturday July 8th. You can reserve a room using this rate in our block up until Friday June 16th, 2017. If you would like to stay in the hotel longer than the two nights we have blocked, you can book the room and then contact the hotel directly and they will be able to extend the group rate to the other days you are staying. The River Inn has complimentary parking as well as an airport shuttle. That shuttle also provides complimentary rides within 2 miles of the hotel. There are two outdoor pools, volleyball courts, tennis courts, and basketball courts. There is a restaurant on site, but complimentary meals are not included. There are many other restaurant options within walking distance of the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel in North Spokane, La Quinta Inn and Suites Spokane North is a few miles closer to the venue. My parents used to stay at that hotel, but it used to be a Ramada.

Cat Tales is a small zoo that has rescued all of the animals that live there. My parents and I enjoy going to visit and support the zoo and rescue each time they come to visit.

There is so much to do in Riverfront Park! However, this area is currently under construction for a major remodel so I'm not sure what areas and attractions will be available this summer. Bad Timing! It's still worth it to go down there and walk along the river. This is where Cory and I got engaged!

Bowl and Pitcher is a beautiful place to hike. We have hiked here many times and it is a pretty easy, but gorgeous, hike. You will need to purchase a Discovery Pass in order to park there; many people that live in Washington get a pass for the year but I believe you are able to pay for just a day when you arrive at Bowl and Pitcher. There are many beautiful hikes in the area. You can go to this website: http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes and search for places to hike in our area.

The Grand Coulee Dam is located about two hours west of Spokane and has a visitors center, as well as guided tours.
