During the fall semester of our sophomore year, Ryan and I were both enrolled in Physics 1 and the required lab. Although we were in different physics classes, we had the same lab session. Our lab TA randomly assigned our groups and we just happened to be put together. After the first lab, we walked out together and although no one made any moves, we both went home and told our roommates that we'd met someone. Our lab TA swapped groups after the first couple weeks, but we chatted every so often.

In the spring semester of sophomore year, we went on our first date! If you ask Ryan he will say that he made the first move... but let's be honest here, it was me. On our first date, Ryan picked me up from campus and to no surprise, we went to Cookout and then went back to his apartment to watch the Prestige. To this day, it is one of our favorite movies. A couple months after hanging out and talking, we became official!

On September 4th, 2022 - Ryan finally popped the question. Ryan planned a surprise proposal by having our friend, Hannah, take me out to get our nails done and breakfast for my birthday. Since we were near NC State, Hannah and I went on a walk around campus and I showed her all of my favorite places. She was very interested to see the labs, where Ryan and I met, so we took a walk in that direction. As we were walking up to the building, Ryan walked around the corner, got down on one knee and popped the question! During the proposal, I heard cameras and when I turned around my sisters were all there. It was such a surprise and special day.
