Where do we begin? Grant and my story start back in 2020 when he kept popping up on my tinder. I kept swiping left (I was not interested in a 19-year-old boy), but he kept popping up, so I was out for my birthday in June when he showed up again. I told my best friend Andi about him, and she told me to give him a chance and swipe right (after a few drinks) so I did and that's where it all started. Not long after swiping I get a notification that Grant sent me a message, I opened it to see "Howdy". We continued to talk on Tinder and then moved to Snap Chat. We talked every day for almost two weeks before we finally agreed to meet up. After work I sent him a message asking for his address so I could head his way but after many attempts he didn't answer so I drove home (thinking I had been ghosted). Around 9 pm I got a message from him that he "left his phone in his truck" after some convincing I made the hour drive to his house to meet him for the first time. We sat around the fire and talked about pretty much everything under the sun. We then spent the rest of the weekend together and the rest is history. We started dating July 16th of 2020 and then he moved in with me in August. Things were moving fast but everything was falling perfectly into place. Grant and I have been through so much in our short time together, but it has only made us stronger. Grant proposed on June 10th, 2023, at Split Rock Light House on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We spend every year up there over my birthday weekend, is my happy place. September 13th, 2025 will be the best day ever as I get to make my best friend my husband and we get to celebrate with all of our amazing friends and family.
