A best friend and sister all in one! Our friendship dates back to the day she was born, of course, and since then we have always stuck by each other's sides... for every Disney movie that sparked our first romantic fantasies, for the first kisses we'd share with awkward, stinky boys, for the grueling moments when we learned about the love the hard way, for the moment I first came home from my engagement... Riley has been one of my biggest supports throughout my relationship with Nate. In the beginning, I would cherish driving to her whimsical, little town in Iowa to discuss the latest reports on 'Nate P' from Bloomington.
Riley is not just my sister but the embodiment of love and strength. Her grit and determination to lead life to the fullest, and to her own extraordinary nature, has always impressed me to do the same. Remarkable and beautiful as she is, I am proud to be her sister.
Brieanna - Bridesmaid
My hometown may have been small, but it left me with friendships and memories as great as this one! Not only is Bri my sister-in-law, marrying my brother, Trevor Oros, in 2021, but she is also one of my dearest friends. She is one of the special few who can really and truly get me out of my comfort zone and always challenge me to do something new and, frankly, FUN! I always love to brag that I'm older than her, however, this woman sets an exceptional example in so many other aspects of her life that I can hardly consider myself the more seasoned of the two. She is a wonderful wife to my brother, an amazing mother to my niece, and a vivacious addition to the Oros family -- her example is one that I will follow earnestly from the very beginning of my own marraige.
Cassidy - Bridesmaid
Through distance and time, my relationship with Cassidy has never faltered. Cassidy and I were best friends growing up in Paw Paw. As children, venturing into her backyard was like vanishing into a whole different world; we would set out to collect rocks, catch frogs in her large pond, ice skate in the winter time, and play Little House on the Prairie in large open fields. Cassidy brought an entirely new and rare shade of color to my life that I preserve more and more as I grow up. This close bond was carried into college where we shared dorm rooms and even an apartment together. The iconic love story began when her connections with ISU's school of music inevitably led her to make the relentless effort to get Nate and me in the same room together! If it wasn't for her continued eccentric influence, we wouldn't be experiencing one of the most exciting moments of our lives.
Emmalie - Bridesmaid
This one is my gal pal! This lady also happens to be Nathaniel’s little sister. Between talking about boys, spending time with family, sharing a bottle of wine together, and just having a good laugh, my connection with Emm has developed into a true gift. Our friendship is the newest of all of them here, but I have to say, it has developed hard and fast into something that feels as though I've established for years. Emmalie is an incredibly sharp cookie, she has a great sense of humor, and she is an absolute brightness to be around. I just adore that no matter the circumstance or how long in between, we can pickup the phone on a moment's notice to share something completely bonkers with each other. I consider myself lucky to be gaining her as a sister!
Julia - Bridesmaid
Julia is another bestie that I carry with me from Paw Paw. It’s difficult to describe Julia in just a few words… her soul is kind, her voice is enlightening, and she is one of my most inspirational confidantes. Through the good and the bad of life's tribulations our bond has lasted 20 years! For someone my age, that number always feels very, very significant. Over the course of our time together, Julia is the one who best lends a patient ear to any situation I broadcast her way. I always find her company very comforting, and now with a very special someone by her side, Nate and I desperately look forward to their visits where we all just kick-back, relax, and share our favorite games together.
Oakley - Flower Girl
Oakley Ann Oros is my beloved niece. With the right amounts of sweet, sass, and spunk, this little girl was born to scatter our aisle with roses! And don't be fooled, she may be the shortest one out there, but she's sure to carry the most flair!
Dylan - Best Man
From our days in church, through the craziness of high school, and in all the days beyond, he has been the closest thing I ever had to a brother. Dylan has always helped me embrace my thinking side, and pushed me towards my deepest truths about myself. Assuredly, I would not be half the man I am today without a friend like Dylan to push me, embolden me, and challenge me as he has all these many many years. Whether we're playing pool now, talking about movies, or simply wandering, his profound ability to ask incredible questions, listen, and share a bit of wisdom have shaped the way I listen, think, and act in nearly every meaningful relationship I can think of.
Owen - Groomsman
Since the very beginning, this guy has always been the life of every party! He'll socialize with everyone around, and yet when you're with him, he makes you feel as though there may as well be no one else in the room. He is hilarious, charismatic, and just about the best guy I could think of to throw a party with! His laid-backness has always let me be myself when I'm with him, and over our many years I think it's finally seeping into me! He is a highly successful in just about everything he pursues (incredibly all at the same time) and yet he always ends up making YOU feel like a million bucks. His kindness, humility, and gosh darn sense of humor have made me a better man, and I couldn't imagine celebrating Haley and I's big day without him.
Tucker - Groomsman
Of nearly everyone at the wedding, barring my own parents and sister, I think I may have known Tucker the very longest. For every reason imaginable, and simultaneously no reason at all other than constantly getting into trouble and having the very most fun while doing it, we've been inseparable for ages - he's been FAMILY for ages. Growing up, Tucker was always the younger one of the two of us, but as time went on, I truly found myself looking up to him. He has always been the kind of man, the kind of brother, the kind of partner I want to be. He's incredibly smart, hardworking, and never afraid to try new things. Yet, at the exact same time, he's exceptionally kind, inexplicably humble, and downright hilarious. Though our family visits have become less frequent, it still just feels like when we're in the same room, time hasn't skipped a beat. The very first man I ever promised a spot in my wedding to, and the very last person I could ever think of celebrating without - Tucker is the one man who always reminds me in all the best ways possible: I'm still just a kid!
Isaiah - Groomsman
Isaiah and I have known each other for well over a decade now. Throughout all the school, music-making, and life we've lived together, Zay has truly been one of the most trustworthy, rock-solid, and dependable friends a man could ever ask for. Though life has pulled us in different directions more times than I can recall, our friendship has inexplicably grown stronger and more unbreakble in spite of it. He is an incredibly intelligent, caring, and vibrant soul that sparks every room he's in, and my relationship with Haley wouldn't be half of what it is today without his influence in my life. He has truly made me a better man, and I couldn't imagine celebrating Haley and I's big day without him there to dance! (Like seriously, this guy will set the dance floor on FIRE!)
Andrew - Groomsman
When Andrew and I met for the very first time, the COVID-19 Pandemic shut down our ability to march together for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps. After a year of waiting, when we finally had the opportunity to become great friends, Andrew ended up unknowingly helping me conquer one of the toughest emotional blows of my life. If not for his uncanny ability to listen, support, and uplift me, I'm not sure I would have had the strength to ask for the support I needed after that season. Andrew is an insanely talented, unfathomably hard-working individual that just so happens to be one of the most caring and emotionally-intelligent dudes on the planet. I am so lucky to be able to call him my friend, and no amount of space, whether through distance or time, would ever see me not celebrating this big day without him up there with me.
Trevor - Groomsman
My friendhsip with Trevor, though the newest of all my groomsmen, is truly one of the most special and nearest to my heart. He is exceptionally hard-working, consistently caring, and downright mischieviously hilarious. Over the last few years, we've shared lots of funny and heartwarming family memories together, from playing new games to pulling some dumb pranks! But, at the same time, I've watched him become an amazing father to Oakley, and asked more than once how to survive driving a garbage truck route. Trevor has been an incredible influence on my life - someone I really look up to. I've grown up my whole life as the oldest in my family, but I couldn't be more excited to have him for a big brother, and wouldn't dream of celebrating my wedding to Haley without him there.
